Discover overlooked food sources and how nature’s medicines are living among us.  Wise Woman Herbalist Kathryn Lafond leads a guided sensory experience of our natural surroundings, identifying local plants, how we can benefit from them, as well as how to live in a more healthy and sustainable world.  Emphasis will be on using sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch activities to heighten our awareness.  **Curriculum changes with each season’s plants**

Spring Herbs & Vinegars

Saturday 9:30am – 12:30pm  5/21   $39

Wise Woman Herbalist Kathryn Lafond leads a walking workshop showcasing how to put our local springtime herbs to good use nourishing you, your family, your animals, and even your garden.  Emphasis will be on learning each herb’s unique benefits, medicinal and edible uses, harvesting methods, and how to make beneficial invigorating herbal vinegars.  Participants will leave with their own herbal vinegar.

Bring inner work to an outer expression using the offerings from nature, meditation, chanting, visual arts, journaling, shamanic journeying and playfulness.  Create a community of support while manifesting your heartfelt intentions.

Journey of Trust:  Releasing the Resistance to Seeing Through the Heart Jan. 3rd – March 14th, 2011

Dig deeper into the inner realm within the chalice of our community as we explore the tools of the visionary:  Gratitude, Seeing, and Blessing from Awakening to the Spirit World“Gratitude:  An attitude designed to open the heart;  Seeing:  also known as forgiveness or compassion; a powerful method of releasing blame, guilt, and shame; and Blessings:  The act of recognizing that Spirit is coming through all that we are experiencing.“  Class format includes meditation, chanting, movement, and experiential exercises.  We will explore practices of sacred holding; shamanic journeying for finding Right Intentions; expanding self-love; transforming fear; journaling and the treasure of Wise Woman ceremonies.  By combining sacred practices from various wisdom traditions, we are able to discover what meets our unique needs to nurture our souls.
